News Sunrise, Sunset or Breakfast with Julia to Benefit Alzheimer's Association Two performances of Sunrise, Sunset or Breakfast with Julia will be presented to benefit the New York City chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.

Written and performed by Julia Sandra Rand, the performances are scheduled for June 21 at 5:30 PM and June 23 at 4 PM at the Gene Frankel Theatre. Nicole Potter directs.

The play is described as such: "A powerful and poignant one character play written during the last year of Julia’s ten year journey with her mother Eva and Alzheimer’s. The actress presents 11 duologues to an imaginary audience while she reads the New York Times – an activity that became her connection to the outside world. It is a glimpse into the isolated world of the caregiver. It is about hope and survival, tears and laughter, the circle of life-sunrise to sunset."

The June 21 performance will be followed by an audience talkback and fundraiser. Rand will be joined by the director and a grief counselor for the question-and-answer session.

Running time of the intermissionless show is 60 minutes.

All proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer's Association, NYC Chapter; visit www.alz.org/nyc. The Gene Frankel Theatre is located at 24 Bond Street (between Lafayette Street and Bowery). For tickets visit www.ovationtix.com.
