LOS ANGELES -- Tony Award nominees Susan Egan and Alyson Reed head the star-studded cast of Michael John LaChiusa's Hello Again , a musical based on Schnitzler's La Ronde , opening Apr. 17 for a limited run at 2nd Stage Theatre in Hollywood. A West Coast premiere, Hello Again is produced by The Blank Theatre Company and directed by Artistic Director Daniel Henning.
Egan was nominated for a Tony Award for her performance as Belle in Disney's Beauty and the Beast and most recently starred in the musical Triumph of Love on Broadway with Betty Buckley and F. Murray Abraham.
Other notables in the cast include Jennifer Leigh Warren, who starred in the original productions of Big River and Little Shop of Horrors ; Richard Kline, who played the lead in Andrew Lloyd Weber's Jeeves ; Marcia Strassman, of "Welcome Back Kotter" fame, who replaced Liza Minnelli in Best Foot Forward ; Paul Anthony Stewart, who played Christian in the Tony Award- nominated Cyrano on Broadway; Steve Girardi, currently in Ragtime at the Shubert Theatre in L.A.; Michael Halpin, who starred with Susan Egan in the stage musical version of State Fair ; Jay Michael Ferguson, recently seen in the film Twister ; and Larry Sullivan, whose credits include the national tour of Miss Saigon .
