The conceptual black and white picture by writer-director Adam Abraham concerns a stereotypical 1930s newspaper reporter making his was through 1990s Manhattan, oblivious to cultural changes since the era of typewriter journalism. Egan plays his 1990s girlfriend, Samantha, who runs a hip Soho art gallery called Ubu Roi.

Anthony Rapp of Rent and You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown plays a gay photographer who shares the reporter's beat.

The reporter, Johnny Twennies, is played by Gibson Frazier, who co-wrote the script.
