News   Susan Lucci Will Be Annie Oakley Dec. 23, 1999-Jan. 16, 2000 It's official: soap star Susan Lucci ("All My Children") will replace Bernadette Peters in the Broadway hit Annie Get Your Gun for three weeks over the holidays. Her stay will begin Dec. 23 and last until Jan. 16, 2000 -- roughly three and-one-half weeks.

It's official: soap star Susan Lucci ("All My Children") will replace Bernadette Peters in the Broadway hit Annie Get Your Gun for three weeks over the holidays. Her stay will begin Dec. 23 and last until Jan. 16, 2000 -- roughly three and-one-half weeks.

The information -- recently announced by ABC-TV and reported here Sept. 29 -- was confirmed Sept. 30 by a spokesman for Annie Get Your Gun.

ABC airs "All My Children," the soap opera Lucci calls home. Lucci won a Daytime Emmy Award for Best Actress last May for her portrayal of femme fatale, Erica Kane, on the soap. Annie will mark her Broadway debut.

Peters won a Tony Award for her performance in Annie Get Your Gun. The show itself also claimed a prize as best musical revival.

Lucci has never previously appeared on Broadway. As Annie Oakley, she would be called upon to sing such songs as "Lost in His Arms" and "I Got the Sun in the Morning."
