Two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster (Anything Goes, Violet) is set to star as Edythe Herbert in a one-night-only benefit performance of the musical comedy My One and Only for Roundabout Theatre Company.

The performance, directed and choreographed by Tony winner Rob Ashford, will be held November 12 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on Broadway.

Featuring classic George and Ira Gershwin tunes such as “Nice Work if You Can Get It,” My One and Only follows love-sick aviator Billy Buck Chandler as he flies around the world in pursuit of the championship swimmer Edythe.

My One and Only features a book by Peter Stone and Timothy S. Mayer with music and lyrics by George and Ira Gershwin. Other songs from the show inclue “’S Wonderful,” “Funny Face,” and the titular “My One and Only.”

The role of Billy in the Roundabout staging will be announced at a later date, along with a full cast and creative team.

Proceeds from the evening will benefit Roundabout’s Musical Theatre Fund.
