News Swindley to Stage Always, Patsy Cline at the Engeman in March The biographical musical Always, Patsy Cline will return to the New York area when Long Island's John W. Engeman Theater presents the production beginning March 6.

Ted Swindley – who penned and directed the original Off-Broadway mounting of Always, Patsy Cline – stages the Engeman run. Swindley has directed over 60 productions of the musical nationwide since its 1997 Off-Broadway premiere.

The musical two-hander stars Becky Barta (Les Miserables, Frankenstein) in the title role with Lisa McMillan (La Cage Aux Folles) as Louise.

Based on a true story about Cline's friendship with a fan from Houston named Louise Seger, the musical includes such Patsy Cline hits as "Crazy," "I Fall to Pieces," "Sweet Dreams" and "Walking After Midnight."

The creative team for the Engeman mounting includes musical director by Bryan Wade, costume designer Bobbi Morse, lighting designer Justin Partier, set designer Sonoka Fukuma Gozelski, sound designer Joseph Varca, and hair and wig designer Mark Adam Rampmeyer.
