Second Stage's second Broadway production, Straight White Men, began previews June 29. Armie Hammer (Call Me By Your Name) makes his Broadway debut. It officially opens July 23 at the Helen Hayes Theatre.
Straight White Men is a comedic play that follows a father named Ed and his three adult sons on a Christmas Eve night celebrating together with matching pajamas, trash-talking, and Chinese takeout. However, a question they can’t answer interrupts their holiday cheer, and the night takes a turn as they are forced to confront their own identities. The cast also includes Kate Bornstein as Person in Charge #1, Josh Charles as Jake, Ty Defoe as Person in Charge #2, Paul Schneider as Matt, and Tom Skerritt as Ed.
