Wendt, a six-time Emmy nominee for "Cheers," will play Buzzy, the former owner of the barbershop who suffers from a gambling habit. His stage credits include Breakfast at Tiffany's and Elf.
"High School Musical" star Tisdale will play Danni, who works as a barber. Tisdale's TV credits include "Phineas and Ferb," "Hellcats" and "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody."
The cast will also include Lauren Lapkus ("The To Do List," "Orange Is the New Black") as Joy, the barbershop receptionist.
The show will revolve around a group of people who, after existing in different social circles in high school, work together at the barbershop and dream of moving across the river to Boston.
