News TCG Awards $25G in Collaboration Grants to 5 L.A. Artists LOS ANGELES -- L.A. playwright Lisa Loomer and the Cornerstone Theatre Company's artistic director Bill Rauch were among the five theatre artists awarded $25,000 Theatre Communications Group prizes recently.

LOS ANGELES -- L.A. playwright Lisa Loomer and the Cornerstone Theatre Company's artistic director Bill Rauch were among the five theatre artists awarded $25,000 Theatre Communications Group prizes recently. The Extended Collaboration Grants are supporterd by Metropolitan Life Foundation of New York City. Established in 1989, these grants enable theatres to offer expanded research and development time to playrights and collaborating artists.

Loomer and Cornerstone's prize will go toward research and development on the BH Bridge Show: Building Bridges Across Los Angeles , a project incorporating community-based artists and audiences from four economically and culturally diverse communities.
