"Stage Matters" is a new video produced by Theatre Communications Group that features theatre artists, politicians, teachers and many others discussing theatre's far-reaching effects and the efforts to keep it thriving.

Among those who advocate for the artistic, personal, political and economic impact of theatre are playwright Lydia Diamond and artistic directors Marc Masterson of Actors Theatre of Louisville, Joe Dowling of The Guthrie Theatre and Jennifer L. Nelson of Ford's Theatre.

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, author Ray Bradbury, Yale School of Drama dean James Bundy and other representatives from schools, businesses and government also appear.
