Harvey Fierstein, who co-wrote and co-stars in the new musical, will be the "guest programmer" for the evening. The Tony-winning artist will chat with host Robert Osborne about some of his favorite films, which will air throughout the night. The line-up includes "The Catered Affair," "The Women," "The Boy with Green Hair" and "The Devil Is a Sissy."

Fierstein will explain to Osborne that he fell in love with "Catered Affair" when he saw a rare television broadcast several years ago. "Chayefsky was a writer who grasped the workings of the human heart like few others," says Fierstein. "Whether expressing the depths of feeling marriage can reach in this piece, or predicting the state of the media in 'Network,' or deconstructing what makes us human in a film like 'Altered States,' Chayefsky saw the world with unflinching clarity. Anytime you are fortunate enough to experience a Chayefsky piece you are going to walk away from it a changed person."

A Catered Affair is scheduled to begin previews March 25, 2008, with an official opening April 17 at the Walter Kerr Theatre. The cast, under the direction of John Doyle, also features Faith Prince, Tom Wopat, Leslie Kritzer and Matt Cavenaugh. The musical played its out-of-town tryout at the Old Globe in San Diego.
