LOS ANGELES--The world premiere of A Drift Through Tennessee will play at the Golden Mean Theatre Co. in Santa Monica, opening July 10.
Adapted for the stage for the first time are In Memory of an Aristocrat and Desire and the Black Masseur, two short stories which play together "in exploration of Tennessee Williams' soul."
In the cast are Klea Scott ("Brooklyn South"), Paul Gutrecht ("All My Children"), Julian Starks ("Law & Order"), Dough Sutherland ("Frasier"), David Wiater ("Guiding Light"), Angelica Pulido (Face Off) and Matt Scharf (PCPA).
Adapting and directing In Memory of an Aristocrat is Shawn Tolleson, and adapting and directing Desire and the Black Masseur is Golden Mean Artistic Director John Patrick Langs.
Golden Mean Theatre Company was founded last October with the mission of creating "ground-breaking new works of theatre." A Drift Through Tennessee runs through Aug. 1.
