MacLeod recently originated the role of Velma Kelly in the French productions of Chicago in Montreal and Paris. The Montreal native earned the 2003 Jessie Richardson Award for Best Supporting Actress for her turn as Anita in West Side Story. Other stage credits include Damn Yankees, A Chorus Line, My Fair Lady, She Loves Me and Hotel Porter. She has also appeared on film in "The Lizzie Maguire Movie," and on television in "The Reagans," "Dead Zone" and "Jeremiah." "Trading Spaces" host Paige Davis currently plays Roxie Hart in the show opposite Brenda Braxton as Velma Kelly, Christopher Sieber as Billy Flynn, Roz Ryan as Matron Mama Morton and P. J. Benjamin as Amos Hart.
Chicago won the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical in 1997 as well as awards for actors Bebe Neuwirth and James Naughton, director Walter Bobbie, lighting designer Ken Billington and choreographer Ann Reinking. The original production was directed and choreographed by the late Bob Fosse.
