News TFANA's Othello Extends Intiman Engagement Through Aug. 9 The critically acclaimed Theatre for a New Audience production of Othello has extended its engagement at the Intiman Theatre through Aug. 9.

Arin Arbus, who staged the Shakespeare work Off-Broadway, repeats her duties for the Seattle transfer, which began previews July 2.

Othello has currently sold-out all preview performances. The production officially opens July 8 and was scheduled to conclude Aug. 2. An additional week of performances has been added to accommodate box-office demand.

The Seattle engagement stars newly added cast members Sean Patrick Thomas ("A Raisin in the Sun") in the title role, Elizabeth Waterston (The Tempest) as Desdemona, John Campion (Aunt Dan and Lemon) as Iago and Steve Dallimore as Brabantio.

Returning Othello cast members include Denis Butkus, Lucas Hall, Robert Langdon Lloyd, Christian Rummel, Lucas Steele, Kate Forbes and Elizabeth Meadows Rouse.

Designing the production are Peter Ksander (sets), Miranda Hoffman (costumes), Marcus Doshi (lights), Sarah Pickett (music) and Matt O'Hare (sound). Robert Neff Williams serves as voice and text consultant with B.H. Barry as the fight choreographer and Doug Elkins as choreographer.
