News The 12, New Rock Musical by 2014 Tony-Winning Playwright, Will Make World Premiere at Denver Center The 12, a brand-new rock musical with book and lyrics by 2014 Tony Award winner Robert Schenkkan (All the Way) and music and lyrics by Neil Berg, will close out the Denver Center for the Performing Arts' 2014-15 season.

Performances at the Denver venue are scheduled for March 27-April 26, 2015. Opening night is April 3.

Creative team, casting and additional information will be announced at a later time.

The 12, according to press notes, "enacts the ultimate test of faith faced by the disciples in the wake of their leader’s unthinkable death with an original, authentic classic rock music score."

The 12 is the perfect show to close out the Theatre Company’s 2014/15 season,” said Kent Thompson, producing artistic director, in a statement. “We are thrilled to present this compelling musical, which has the added bonus of being the third world premiere of the season.”
