Off-Broadway's adobe theatre company has drawn on such sources as the film "All About Eve" and the Frankenstein story for its latest venture in high-concept goofiness, Hooray for Iceboy. The production, a collaborative project created by the entire company, will run March 29 to April 21 at the Ohio Theatre in Soho. The Iceboy of the title seems to be a version of those perfectly-preserved cavemen scientists find frozen in the Siberian ice every so often. This one goes on to be a media sensation in the 1940's and enters the theatre scene. Adobe describes the tale as a "rags to riches" story.

Bat Boy the Musical, the story of another freakish specimen who enters general society, is currently playing at the Union Square Theatre.

The cast includes Arthur Aulisi, Frank Ensenberger, Arthur Halpern, Vin Knight, Erin Quinn Purcell and David Slivken.

The most recent adobe offering was artistic director Jeremy Dobrish's Orpheus and Eurydice, while the troupe's most famous venture continues to be the spoof on the all-American love story, Duet! A Romantic Fable.

Tickets are $12. The Ohio is located at 66 Wooster Street. For more information, call (212) 279 4200.
