Marc Eardley directs the intimate comedy, which marks the Off-Broadway debut for the New Jersey-based theatre company 3S Theatre Collective. Originally scheduled to conclude performances Oct. 25, The Affair in 22B will now play an extra week of performances through Nov. 2. The work officially opened Oct. 16.
John Halbach and Renee Rakel star in the two-hander, which according to production notes, "revolves around the relationship of the two main characters, Abbey and Paul, who share their lives in a run-down New York apartment, and who are looking to build a successful and meaningful relationship, though Paul's eagerness towards conflict and negativity plays an integral role in the downfall of the couple's companionship."
The creative team includes Stephen K. Dobay (set design) and Ryan Metzler (lighting design).
