News "The After Party" Will Welcome Champlin and McGill Sept. 28 "The After Party," billed as "an informal social gathering for the theatrically inclined," will welcome Sweeney Todd's Donna Lynne Champlin and Rent's Moeisha McGill Sept. 28.

Both actresses will be on hand to greet fans and perform a few numbers at the free weekly event.

Hosted by Brandon Cutrell and Alysha Umphress, "The After Party" at the Laurie Beechman Theatre features Ray Fellman at the piano. Cabaret favorite Lisa Asher is also part of the "Party" mix, where amateurs and professionals are invited to take turns at the open mic. The "Party" begins at 10:30 PM and continues to 2 AM.

Donna Lynne Champlin has appeared on Broadway in Sweeney Todd, Hollywood Arms, By Jeeves and James Joyce's The Dead. Her other New York theatrical credits include The Dark at the Top of the Stairs (Obie Award), My Life With Albertine, Reunion, Encores! Bloomer Girl, First Lady Suite, The Audience and Meet John Doe. Champlin recently filmed "The Audition" and "My Father's Will."

Moeisha McGill has been seen on Broadway in Rent and Mamma Mia! Her regional credits include roles in Footloose, Baby, Little Shop of Horrors, Jesus Christ Superstar and Baghdad Café.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located within the West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd Street. There is no cover charge or minimum for "The After Party."
