The Alfa Real Theatre which will be inaugurated on April 22, 1998 in the city of Sao Paul,o has announced the program for it´s 1998 season.

With it´s three-quarter-round stage design and modern technical systems, the Alfa Real Theatre has chosen international names in the world of entertainment to present diversified attractions like opera, ballet, circus, symphonic concerts, musicals and plays.

The American Symphony Orchestra conducted by Leon Botstein; April 22.

Tribute to the famous Brazilian musician and composer Antonio Carlos Jobim who died in 1994; April 24. The Brazilian Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Roberto Tibirica, with special appearances of the soloist Celine Imbert and the pianist Cristina Ortiz; April 30.

All Nudity Will Be Punished (Toda Nudez Sera Castigada) drama by Nelson Rodrigues. Starring Marilia Pera and Luis Mello; Opens May 7.

The Mistress of the Story (A Dona da Historia) a comedy by Joao Falcao. Starring Marieta Severo and Andrea Beltrao; Opens July 1st.

Puccini's Opera La Boheme, performed by Brazilian Experimental Repertory Orchestra conducted by Jamil Maluf ; Opens August 26.

Presentation of the Canadian Cirque Eloise; September 1st.

Presentation of the Twyla Tharp American Ballet; November 1st.
