Written by Ken Urban and directed by Adam Fitzgerald, The Awake will feature Maulik Pancholy ("30 Rock," Aunt Dan & Lemon), Jeff Biehl (The Master Builder), Andy Phelan (MilkMilkLemonade) and Lori Prince (Sarah, Sarah). Remaining casting will be announced at a later date.

Here's how the show is described: "Three sleepers — a devoted son, an Eastern European actress and a Canadian man on the run — awaken to the fact that a mysterious corporation connects them. A meditation on contemporary America and how we live in a world we no longer understand."

The creative team includes David L. Arsenault (scenic design), Travis McHale (lighting design) and Lisa Zinni (costume design).
