News The Boy from The Boy From Oz Appears on "Good Morning America," April 28 Mitchel David Federan, who plays the young Peter Allen in Broadway's The Boy From Oz will perform the song "When I Get My Name in Lights" on ABC's "Good Morning America," April 28.

The performance is scheduled for the 8:30-9 AM half-hour (ET). Check your local listings.

The young actor, who was recently nominated for an Outer Critics Circle award, is also slated to appear in the "New Faces of '04" Concert at Carnegie Hall, May 10. Federan made his Broadway debut in The Music Man and has toured with Annie Get Your Gun. He began performing at the age of 7 in the Rockette's Radio City Christmas Spectacular and also appears on ABC's "All My Children."

The new musical starring Hugh Jackman began on Broadway at the Imperial Theatre Sept. 16, 2003, and opened Oct. 16.

The Boy from Oz is "a musical true story" of the late entertainer Peter Allen who was a protege of Judy Garland — and briefly married to her daughter Liza Minnelli. Martin Sherman (Bent) provides the libretto for the score which features the music and lyrics of the pop superstar.
