LOS ANGELES -- The Excalibur Theatre Company and La Petite Musicale will present The Boys From Syracuse, the Rodgers and Hart musical, with book by George Abbott based on Comedy of Errors, at the Excalibur Theatre on Friday April 24. The six- week run will end May 31.

Excalibur has produced several Shakespearean productions in Los Angeles, such as The Taming of the Shrew and Much Ado About Nothing. The company also produces the annual Nevada Shakespeare Festival, where it teamed up with La Petite Musicale in a production of The Tempest.

The Boys From Syracuse is directed by Gary B. Lamb with William Reilly as musical director.

The cast includes Jim Blanchette, Melissa Bailey, Susan Brindley, Heidi Lynne Carofano, Rajan Dosaj, Gregory Franklin, Aaron Kjenaas, Kyle Kulish, Whitney Leigh, Mireille Morshead, Joanne McGee, Sandy Milvihill, Carl J. Pfeifer, John Serembe, Timothy Storms and Craig Tolliver.

Fri. & Sat. at 8 PM; Sun. at 4 PM. The Sunday April 26 performance will be a special benefit for the L.A. Mission. All seats $5 to audience members who bring four canned food items. The Excalibur Theatre (formerly The Lionstar), now under long-term lease to ETC, is located at 12655 Ventura Blvd. in Studio City. Tickets are $20; students, seniors and actor's union members $14.
