The night will belong to LGBTQIA+ youth when Daya and the cast of The Prom performs at Cipriani Wall Street for TrevorLIVE New York June 17.
Nicole Byer and Eugene Lee Yang will host The Trevor Project gala.
Tony-nominated musical The Prom follows Emma, a high schooler in Indiana who wants to bring her girlfriend to the dance but is blocked by the PTA. When four washed-up Broadway actors show up to save the day (and maybe get some publicity), the town undergoes a change no one expected.
Openly bisexual Daya's singles include "Hide Away" and "Sit Still, Look Pretty." The recording artist won a Best Dance Recording Grammy Award for "Don't Let Me Down."
In addition to the performances, Queer Eye’s Antoni Porowski and Jonathan Van Ness will present Cara Delevingne with the 2019 Hero Award. Jonathan Tucker (Westworld) will present Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos with the Champions Award. EY will receive the 20/20 Visionary Award.
Miss J Alexander, Geena Rocero, Phillip Picardi, Milk, and Debi Mazar are also set to appear.
The Trevor Project was founded in 1998 to provide crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ young people under 25.
