The Metropolitan Room will present Let Me Ascertain You: Flops, Failures and Fiascos Feb. 23, an evening of music and stories presented by The Civilians that will celebrate artists who have survived "the shame, horror, and glory of failing big."

Based on interviews with people who have been involved with failing productions, the new cabaret is curated and directed by Civilians 2015-2016 R&D Group Members Sanaz Ghajar and Colette Robert in collaboration with Civilians 2015-2016 Field Research Team. Led by artistic director Cosson and founded in 2001, The Civilians create new theatre from creative investigations. Recent credits include Another Word for Beauty; Pretty Filthy; Mr. Burns, A Post-Electric Play; and The Great Immensity. Last season, the company was the first-ever theatre company in residence at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
