Theresa Rebeck, whose play Bernhardt/Hamlet opened on Broadway September 25, will visit the theatre district's Drama Book Shop October 2 for a discussion and to sign copies of published works. Rebeck will be at the Drama Book Shop, 250 W. 40th St., at 5 PM.

Bernhardt/Hamlet is now in performances at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway. The world premiere, which began previews August 31, stars Tony and Olivier Award winner Janet McTeer as trailblazing 19th century French actor Sarah Bernhardt.

Set against a lavish production of Hamlet, Rebeck’s new play paints a portrait of a legend and gives a behind-the-scenes look at Bernhardt in her historic, make-or-break role.

Moritz von Stuelpnagel directs a cast that also includes Dylan Baker as Constant Coquelin and Jason Butler Harner as Edmond Rostand, along with Tony Carlin as Louis, Matthew Saldivar as Alphonse Mucha, Nick Westrate as Maurice, Ito Aghayere as Rosamond, Brittany Bradford as Lysette, Aaron Costa Ganis as Raoul, and Triney Sandoval as Francois.
