News The Erotic Diary of Anne Frank to Play East 13th Street Theatre Presenting a title that will likely offend some, Studio 42 will offer the world premiere of The Erotic Diary of Anne Frank Aug. 29 at the East 13th Street Theater.

The 7:30 and 10 PM performances of Timothy Charles Browne's play will be directed by Jen Wineman. Both performances benefit Studio 42.

The cast will comprise Drama Desk Award winner Bradford Louryk (Christine Jorgensen Reveals), Brian Robert Burns (Richard II, Yale Repertory Theatre), Natalie Saibel (Farmtrucks, FringeNYC), David Mitsch (Writer's Colony, Fresh Fruit Festival 2009), Alex Major (Anna Christie, Arena Stage), Brooke Parks (Williamstown Theatre Festival), Sandra Struthers (Ah, Wilderness!, Baltimore Center Stage) and Nicole Niefeld (The Producers, regional premiere) with Caitlin Clouthier and Joe Gallagher.

The Erotic Diary of Anne Frank, according to press notes, is described as such: "Strap yourself in for the Eroto-Horror-Camp-Grindcore-Nazi-Sploitation-Action-Comedy event of the decade! Side-Splitting Acts of Violence! Blood-Curdling Romance! Shockingly Insipid History Lessons! And Wholly Inaccurate Tales of Hollywood Gone Awry! Studio 42 proudly presents the Ansonia, Connecticut Performing Arts Center which, in turn, proudly presents Barry Murray, President of the Prescott Technical College Film Club, who very proudly presents legendary Italian film director Pinto Degas and the revival of his notoriously offensive (and quite possibly cursed) exploitation piece: 'The Erotic Diary of Anne Frank' ('Il Diario Erotico di Anne Frank,' 1971, Italy)."

The design team includes set designer Martin Andrew, costume designer Melissa Trn, lighting designer Jason Lyons with Peter Hoerburger and sound designer Sharath Patel.

The evening is produced by Roberta Pereira for Studio 42. East 13th Street Theater is located in Manhattan at 136 East 13th Street. Tickets, priced $20 (general admission) and $30 (VIP, includes cocktails and beer), are available by calling (800) 838-3006 or by visiting www.stu42.com.
