The Forest of Empty Armor, two surrealistic one-acts written and directed by Michael Cervin -- Vinnie Fanelli's Big Night and Line -- will be the Tuesday-night-only show at the Attic Theatre from Feb. 23-April 6.

Forest is the first show of the Attic Theatre Center's 1999 season. It will be followed on Mar. 20 by the world premiere of John Jay Garrett's Fragments, which comes to the Attic following a workshop production at the Sundance Playwrights Laboratory last spring. The play follows the life of a teenager through the crucible of the Vietnam era. Excerpts were published in Smith & Kraus' "Best Stage Scenes of 1996."

Garrett is a recent graduate of Oswego State University and was awarded the Fourth Freedom Forum Playwriting Award from the Kennedy Center/American College Theatrical Festival.

The ATC also announced the appointment of Steve Owsley as Associate Artistic Director. Owsley is an actor, director and choreographer.
