News The J.A.P. Show Will Play Miami Following NYC Run The J.A.P. Show, Jewish American Princesses of Comedy will end its New York City run Sept. 30, the show's producers announced.

Dan Fields directed the show that began previews April 9 and opened April 18 at the Actors Temple Theatre. Following its New York run, the show will play in downtown Miami, Florida "for a multi-week sit-down production starting December 20," reads an announcement.

Created by Cory Kahaney, The J.A.P. Show features "four brassy and ballsy female comics [who] give nachus to their female predecessors. They amply demonstrate, through their own zany stories and stand-up, how the Jewish female comics of yore are treasured pioneers without whom they would not exist. With jokes both old and new about sex, husbands, family and weight issues, these lewd and lascivious ladies prove that the stuff cracking-up Bubby and Zayde in the schtetl is still pretty darn funny."

The rotating cast features Cory Kahaney, Cathy Ladman, Jessica Kirson, Sherry Davey, Julie Goldman and Betsy Salkind. Jackie Hoffman had appeared in the show earlier in its run.

The design team for The J.A.P. Show includes Jo Winiarski (scenic), Jeff Croiter (lighting) and Aaron Rhyne (projection). Foster Entertainment & Maximum Entertainment produce.
