Negro League hero Henry is at the head of the Montgomery Black Kings, fighting for their unprecedented third championship win in the league's World Series. But Robinson's success in joining the once all-white Majors tempts Henry to leave his teammates to integrate another team. Playwright Christopher Moore (the musicals St. Joan and Isabelita) developed the work at Chicago's Goodman Theatre.

Lennix will be seen in the upcoming "Matrix II" and "Matrix III." His theatre credits include three Joseph Jefferson Citations for Outstanding Performance and an Obie Award as Malcolm X in The Meeting.

Also in the Last Season are Glenn Bradshaw-Collins, Karl Calhoun, Amad Jackson, J.J. Jones, Dwain A. Perry and M. Darnell Smith.

The design team includes Edward Haynes (sets), Doc Ballard (lighting), Naila Aladdin-Sanders (costumes) and Anthony Carr (sound). John Freeland, Jr. is the production stage manager. Tickets are $20. Stage 52 is located at 5299 West Washington Boulevard. For reservations, call (818) 567-4249.
