
The touring production of the 2005 Tony Award-winning musical performs at the California stage through Dec. 10 before heading to Washington, D.C.'s Opera House at the Kennedy Center to close out the year.
Based on the novel by Elizabeth Spencer, the musical features a book by Craig Lucas and a score by Adam Guettel. The 1950s-set story follows a North Carolina mother who is on holiday in Italy with her sensitive daughter when the young girl falls in love with an Italian boy.
Elena Shaddow plays Clara opposite David Burnham as Fabrizio Naccarelli. The cast also features Laura Griffith as Franca Naccarelli, Jonathan Hammond as Giuseppe Naccarelli, David Ledingham as Signor Naccarelli, Brian Sutherland as Roy Johnson and Diane Sutherland as Signora Naccarelli.
The ensemble includes Craig Bennett, Wendi Bergamini, Jane Brockman, Laurent Giroux, Sean Hayden, Leslie Henstock, Prudence Wright Holmes, John-Charles Kelly, Evangelia Kingsley and Adam Overett.
