The Texas-set dramatic comedy will run through Dec. 16. It features Broadway actors Martin LaPlatney (Amadeus, The Road to Mecca) and Stephen Bradbury (Dividing the Estate, A Few Good Men) alongside Blake DeLong, David Marantz ("One Life to Live," "As The World Turns") and Jon Krupp.
In addition to his work on stage in War Horse and The Coast of Utopia, Dickson also directed Flannel & Lace (Ensemble Studio Theatre), Courting (undergroundzero festival) and In the Zone (Williamstown Theatre Festival).
Here's how it's billed: "Taking place in the dripping heat of an East Texas afternoon, in The Man-Made Rock Kyle Holley has returned home from New York City to confront his past and divulge his secrets over an afternoon of fishing with his father. When they run into one-time family friend Bobby Cartman, a brooding alcoholic with secrets of his own, intentions are swept away as their chance encounter forces unforeseen confrontation. In an environment where honest emotions are seldom discussed, five men on a fishing barge must battle to sort out their sordid history and move forward with their lives."
The creative team includes David Arsenault (set design), Daniel Dungan (technical director/lighting design), Andrea Hood (costume design), Libby Froeber and Daniel Dungan (sound design).
