News The Meeting* Celebrates All Things Carrie Oct. 30 at 54 Below Justin Sayre's monthly gathering The Meeting* gets in the Halloween spirit with an Oct. 30 evening dedicated to the film and musical adaptations of the Stephen King novel "Carrie" at 54 Below.

Special guests at the 9:30 event include Angela Di Carlo, Randy Rainbow, Emily McNamara and Glittered & Mauled. Also in attendance will be Audrey Lavine, who was the original standby for both Barbara Cook and Betty Buckley in the London and Broadway productions of the cult flop Carrie.

This special installment of The Meeting* promises some of Lavine's backstage stories and a song or two from Carrie.

Tracy Stark serves as music director.

The Meeting* is a monthly "gay romp through politics (sexual and otherwise), social news, music, comedy skits, and other important life-changing information." The gay variety show dedicates each installment to a different icon.

Upcoming sessions of The Meeting* include "Grey Gardens" (Nov. 20) and the annual Holiday Spectacular (Dec. 18).

The Meeting* is produced by and Dan Fortune and Adam J. Rosen.
