The showdown between New York Knicks and the Atlanta Hawks in the 8 PM May 24 basketball playoff game, at Madison Square Garden in New York City, will be the stage for a vocal "battle": The men of Broadway's The Civil War will sing at halftime.
Decked out in jerseys of the Atlanta Hawks and the Knicks, fourteen men from the cast -- representing the Union and Confederate sides -- are expected to perform "By the Sword/Sons of Dixie," from the Tony Award nominated show. The song show the different factions as they prepare to go to battle.
They will also begin the game with a specially-arranged version of the National Anthem.
The second round of the playoffs will be televised live on TBS beginning 8 PM (ET).
