News The Metropolitan Room Will Salute the Late Elaine Stritch Aug. 7 The Metropolitan Room (34 W. 22nd Street) will salute the life of the late Broadway and screen legend Elaine Stritch in a one-night-only event Aug. 7 at 7:00 PM.

The cabaret venue's owner, Bernard Furshpan, will host the evening; casting is still to be announced.

According to press notes, "audiences can expect to hear some of Stritch's favorite songs, like 'The Ladies Who Lunch', 'Why Do The Wrong People Travel?' and many more. A portion of the evening's proceeds will benefit Stritch's favorite charity."

Tickets will begin at $22.50 and can be purchased by visiting metropolitanroom.com.
