PlayBlog The Most Expensive "Glee" Episode Yet: The Season Finale in NYC A $6 million episode of "Glee"? Yes, it's the season finale that was filmed in New York City. The cast of the Fox series hits newsstands this week on the cover of The Hollywood Reporter in a feature on the show's epic season two finale.


From April 25-29, the cast filmed nationals all over New York City. From the TKTS booth, to Lincoln Center and even the stage of the Gershwin Theatre—the home of Wicked—the Gleeks could be spotted almost anywhere in the city.

Patti LuPone is set to make a guest appearance, Matthew Morrison will sing a song from his recently released solo CD, and the New Directions will compete in the "ultimate singing showdown." The finale is set to air May 24 at 9 PM ET.
