Academy Award nominees Samuel L. Jackson and Angela Bassett will celebrate New York City's Fashion's Night Out with an appearance at the Giorgio Armani boutique, located at 760 Madison Avenue, Sept. 8. The stars will discuss their return to the stage this fall in Katori Hall’s Olivier Award-winning play, The Mountaintop.

Following their Thursday evening rehearsal, Jackson and Bassett will sit down with Adam Green, contributing editor for Vogue, and talk about taking on The Mountaintop. The two will also be seen in the October issue of Vogue.

In the upcoming Broadway play, Jackson will portray Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and Basset will play Camae when previews begin Sept. 22 at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre, prior to an official opening Oct. 13.

Taking place on April 3, 1968, The Mountaintop, press notes state, is a "gripping reimagining of events the night before the assassination of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. After delivering his legendary ‘I've Been to the Mountaintop’ speech, an exhausted Dr. King retires to his room at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis while a storm rages outside. When a mysterious young woman delivers room service, King is forced to confront his past, as well as his legacy to his people."
