The Mysteries, a South African take on England's medieval mystery plays, played to packed houses at the Queen's Theatre earlier this year and has won international acclaim.
Now this deeply moving production can be enjoyed on video or DVD, both released by Heritage Theatre, a company that was created to record great theatrical productions and bring the best of live theatrical performance, on video and DVD, to people who might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience it in the theatre itself.
The medieval Mysteries were designed to be performed at religious holidays, but this West End sensation, performed by a cast of 46, can be enjoyed at any time of the year, thanks to a recording made of the production, over three special performances given at Wilton's Music Hall after the run at the Queen's ended.
