The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon hosts a regular segment called “Freestylin’ with The Roots,” where the show’s house band improvises a tune based on an audience member.

On the November 28 episode, Fallon met Josh from Pittsburgh, PA. When asked what is his favorite holiday decoration, Josh said he likes the glass ball ornaments. As for an inspiration for their freestyle, Fallon made the request, “The Hamilton Mixtape comes out this week. Can you guys do a Hamilton rap type of song?” The Roots, who executive-produced the original Broadway cast recording of the hit musical, then had some fun mixing genres.
