News THE SCREENING ROOM: Anna Kendrick Parodies Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid on "SNL" (Video) Tony and Academy Award nominee Anna Kendrick, who will appear in the upcoming Disney film adaptation of Into the Woods, hosted "Saturday Night Live" April 5.

Kendrick, who received an Oscar nomination for her role in "Up in the Air," was a Tony nominee at age 12 for her role as Dinah in High Society and gave a memorable performance of "The Ladies Who Lunch" in the movie "Camp." In addition to the upcoming film of Into the Woods, Kendrick stars as Cathy in the film adaptation of Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years.

During her "SNL" gig, Kendrick offered parodies of Beauty and the Beast's "Belle" for her opening monologue and also appeared in a sketch based on The Little Mermaid, in which she sang covers of songs by Britney Spears, Kesha, Selena Gomez and more.
