News THE SCREENING ROOM: Audra McDonald, Julie Andrews, Judy Garland and More Sing "Someone to Watch Over Me" (Video) The Tony Award-winning Best Musical Crazy for You, which features a score by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin, opened on Broadway Feb. 19, 1992. In celebration of the musical, Playbill.com has put together favorite versions of "Someone to Watch Over Me."

The tune, which was originally composed for the 1926 musical Oh, Kay!, is featured in Crazy for You and performed by the character of Polly Baker, originated on Broadway by Jodi Benson. "Someone to Watch Over Me" is also performed by Kelli O'Hara in Broadway's Nice Work If You Can Get It, currently playing the Imperial Theatre.
