News THE SCREENING ROOM: Bernadette Peters Sings "English Girls," "The Way We Were," "My Buddy," "Let Me Sing and I'm Happy" and More As Mary Tyler Moore and Bernadette Peters' 14th annual Broadway Barks!, the star-studded dog and cat adoptathon that will be held July 14 in Shubert Alley, approaches, Playbill.com offers a look at several vintage performances from Tony winner Peters.

Following her Tony-winning run in Song and Dance, Peters appeared on "The Tonight Show," where she performed Stephen Sondheim's "Broadway Baby"...

... and "Let Me Sing and I'm Happy." Following her performance, host Johnny Carson exclaimed, "Damn, you're good!"

On a subsequent "Tonight Show" appearance, Peters offered the risque "Making Love Alone"...

... and Hank Williams' "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry."

On a PBS tribute to ASCAP, Peters performed Marvin Hamlisch's award-winning "The Way We Were."

The PBS special also featured Peters' touching rendition of the World War II ballad, "My Buddy"...

... and another rendition of the Follies classic, "Broadway Baby."

Here is Peters performing Peter Pan's "I'm Flying" on Carol Burnett's most recent variety series.

During her award-winning run in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Song and Dance, Peters appeared on NBC's "Live at Five" to chat with Liz Smith. A clip of her performance of "English Girls" precedes the interview.
