Godspell, the Stephen Schwartz rock musical, opened last month at Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre. Hunter Parrish and the cast took a trip to "The View" Dec. 1 to offer a medley of songs from the production.

Directed by Daniel Goldstein with choreography by Tony Award nominee Christopher Gattelli, the cast comprises Parrish (Spring Awakening, "Weeds") as Jesus, Wallace Smith (American Idiot) as Judas, Uzo Aduba (Coram Boy), Nick Blaemire (Cry-Baby), Celisse Henderson ("The Electric Company," In Transit), Morgan James (Wonderland, The Addams Family), Telly Leung (Rent, "Glee"), Lindsay Mendez (Everyday Rapture, Grease), Anna Maria Perez de Tagle ("Hannah Montana," "Fame") and George Salazar (Spring Awakening national tour).

Godspell's Tony-nominated score features classics such as "Day by Day," "Prepare Ye" and "Light of the World," all of which were featured in "The View" performance.

The musical originally ran for more than 2,600 performances in New York and spawned successful touring productions in major U.S. cities, a 1973 motion picture adaptation and countless international engagements for the past 40 years. Visit for more information.
