News THE SCREENING ROOM: Highlights from Stanford University's Violet, Staged on a Moving Bus (Video) At the Fountain Theatricals, a student-run theatre group at California's Stanford University, kicked off its inaugural season Nov. 14-17 with the Jeanine Tesori-Brian Crawley, Lucille Lortel Award-winning musical Violet — about a girl who boards a Greyhound — staged on a moving bus. Here are highlights from the production.

Directed by Sammi Cannold, the cast featured Justine DeSilva (Old Lady/Mabel), Tobin Asher (Preacher), Alec Glassford (Jackson/Wallace Weatherman/Johnson), Ben Laboy (Farmer Karl), Louis Lagalante (Monty), Cayla Pettinato (Young Violet), Robert Poole (Flick), Alex Scott (Hotel Singer), Annie Sherman (Music Hall/Lula), Benina Stern (Landlady/Ethel), Jon Toussaint (Billy Dean/Virgil/Leroy Evans) and Arianna Vogel (Violet).
