News THE SCREENING ROOM: Into the Woods Performances from Broadway, London, Film and More (Video) Into the Woods ended its original Broadway run Sept. 3, 1989. The musical features a Tony-winning score by Stephen Sondheim, a Tony-nominated book by James Lapine and a Tony-winning performance by Joanna Gleason.

With the film adaptation currently being shot in London, Playbill.com is taking a look at some of our favorite performances from Into the Woods on stage and in concert.
