A new production of the classic 1959 Jule Styne, Stephen Sondheim and Arthur Laurents musical Gypsy officially opens at Chichester Festival Theatre Oct. 14 starring Imelda Staunton as Rose, Lara Pulver as Louise and Kevin Whateley as Herbie. It runs through Nov. 8.

Here, we take a look at various divas who took on the first-act finale, "Everything's Coming Up Roses."

From Ethel Merman, who originated the role of Rose in the 1959 Broadway production of Gypsy and received a Tony nomination for her performance, to Patti LuPone, Broadway's most recent Rose, who took home the 2008 Tony for her turn, Playbill.com offers a handful of performances from Gypsy.
