News THE SCREENING ROOM: Patti LuPone, Lea Salonga, Anne Hathaway and More Sing "I Dreamed a Dream" (Video) Les Misérables will make its anticipated Broadway return in March. As the date swiftly approaches, Playbill.com has surfed the web for some of our favorite performances of "I Dreamed a Dream" from the musical.

The iconic ballad, performed by the character of Fantine in Les Miz, features music by Claude-Michel Schonberg and original French lyrics by Alain Boublil. The song was later translated to English by Herbert Kretzmer, and features orchestrations by John Cameron.

Throughout the years, "I Dreamed a Dream" has been performed all over the world on stage, in concert and on screen and television.
