News   THE SCREENING ROOM: Phantom's Ramin Karimloo Sings "The Music of the Night" (Video)
Ramin Karimloo starred as the title character in the 25th anniversary production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera at London's Royal Albert Hall. Here is a sneak peek of the leading man performing "The Music of the Night."

Karimloo played opposite Sierra Boggess, who starred as Christine, in the West End production, which played Oct. 1-2 and was filmed for release on DVD and Blu-Ray.

Featuring a 200-strong company and orchestra, Phantom featured Barry James as Monsieur Firman, Gareth Snook as Monsieur André, Liz Robertson as Madame Giry and Wynne Evans as Piangi. Produced by Cameron Mackintosh, the production was directed by Laurence Connor with musical staging and choreography by Gillian Lynne.

The Phantom of the Opera “tells the story of a masked figure who lurks beneath the catacombs of the Paris Opera House, exercising a reign of terror over all who inhabit it,” according to production notes. “He falls madly in love with an innocent young soprano, Christine, and devotes himself to creating a new star by nurturing her extraordinary talents and by employing all of the devious methods at his command.”
