News THE SCREENING ROOM: Ramin Karimloo and Sierra Boggess Sing "The Phantom of the Opera" (Video) Ramin Karimloo and Sierra Boggess starred in the 25th anniversary production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera as the Phantom and Christine, respectively. Here, Karimloo and Boggess sing the show's title song in the performance at London's Royal Albert Hall.

The 25th anniversary Phantom production played in the West End Oct. 1-2 and was filmed for release on DVD and Blu-Ray, which hit shelves Nov. 14.

Featuring a 200-strong company and orchestra, the production starred Karimloo and Boggess, who originated the same roles in Lloyd Webber's Phantom sequel, Love Never Dies, and have also previously played them in Phantom in London and Las Vegas, respectively.

The company included Barry James as Monsieur Firman, Gareth Snook as Monsieur André, Liz Robertson as Madame Giry and Wynne Evans as Piangi. Produced by Cameron Mackintosh, the production was directed by Laurence Connor with musical staging and choreography by Gillian Lynne.

The Phantom of the Opera “tells the story of a masked figure who lurks beneath the catacombs of the Paris Opera House, exercising a reign of terror over all who inhabit it,” according to production notes. “He falls madly in love with an innocent young soprano, Christine, and devotes himself to creating a new star by nurturing her extraordinary talents and by employing all of the devious methods at his command.”
