News THE SCREENING ROOM: Side Show, Then and Now (Video) With news of a new incarnation of the 1997 musical Side Show due to arrive on Broadway this fall, Playbill.com takes a look back at the original production and footage from the new version of the Bill Russell-Henry Krieger work.

The original Broadway production opened in October 1997 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, with Alice Ripley and Emily Skinner in the roles of conjoined twins, Violet and Daisy Hilton. It returns to Broadway beginning Oct. 28 at the St. James Theatre starring Erin Davie and Emily Padgett.

Playbill.com has compiled appearances and footage of the original and the upcoming revival as we prepare to welcome the freaks of the Side Show back to Broadway.

Original stars Alice Ripley and Emily Skinner performing "Who Will Love Me As I Am?" on "The Rosie O'Donnell Show."

"We Share Everything" during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The song has been cut from the latest version of the show.

Months after Side Show closed, Skinner and Ripley reunited to perform "I Will Never Leave You" at the Tony Awards.
