News THE SCREENING ROOM: The Best of Bernadette Peters (Video) The girls upstairs are preparing to click their heals down that infamous staircase for the last time when the Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim and James Goldman's Follies ends its limited engagement Jan. 22.

The production returned with Tony Award-winning Sondheim favorite Bernadette Peters in the role of Sally Durant Plummer. While Follies will resurface in Los Angeles in a few months, Peters will not reprise her performance for West Coast audiences. Tony winner Victoria Clark, who appeared as Sally in the Encores! presentation of Follies, will take on the role.

So, before Bernadette takes her last bow in Follies, Playbill.com decided to offer some of our favorite moments from her career.

Bernadette earned a Tony Award for playing British hat designer Emma in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Song and Dance. Here's a thrilling and belty performance from "Hey, Mr. Producer!"

With Kermit, Fozzie and the gang, hosting "The Muppet Show." A charming performance of "Just One Person" from Snoopy.

Strutting through Kander and Ebb's "All That Jazz" on "The Carol Burnett Show" in 1975.

On the "Tonight Show with Johnny Carson," performing the hilarious "Making Love Alone."

Her moving interpretation of "Not A Day Goes By," from "Sondheim: A Celebration at Carnegie Hall."

Two stars, at the top of their game, in tailor-made roles. Bernadette and Mandy Patinkin nail "Move On" from Sunday in the Park With George.

Almost three decades later, they've still got it. Has there been a better stage reunion moment in recent TV history? "Move On" revisited.

She stepped into the Broadway revival of A Little Night Music and brought new life to Desiree. This is just a snippet, but we love Bernadette's "Send In the Clowns."

Tender, daffy, funny and perfect. "The Jerk" with co-star Steve Martin on a duet of "Tonight You Belong to Me." The entire scene, plus Bernadette on the trumpet, just tugs at your heartstrings.

Bernadette's turn as Rose during the 57th annual Tony Awards. Her Tony-nominated performance in Gypsy captured here on "Rose's Turn."

Total bonus. There have to be a "few" fans out there who will be tickled to hear this disco version of "Thank You For Being A Friend," which we all know and love from "Golden Girls." (For the record, BP sang it before it became the GG theme song.)
